Furry Launch: the launch event
Hot on the heels of last Saturday's four-star review in the Daily Telegraph of Furry Logic: the Physics of Animal Life, my co-author Liz Kalaugher and I travelled from Bristol up to London last night for the official launch of our potential smash-hit popular-science book.
Furry Logic in the Cosmic Shed
Hot on the heels of our appearance on BCFM Radio earlier this week, my Furry Logic co-author Liz Kalaugher and I were guests yesterday on the latest Cosmic Shed podcast. Recorded in a garden shed in suburban Bristol by science communicator Andrew Glester, the Cosmic Shed podcast is all about science and storytelling. It covers "films, books, music, theatre, TV", and anything else that catches Andrew and his pals' curiosity "from rigorously accurate science fact to ridiculously speculative science fiction".
Furry Logic on BCFM Radio
This afternoon I was a guest on the "Love and Science" show on BCFM Radio here in Bristol along with my Furry Logic co-author Liz Kalaugher. The regular Monday-afernoon science show is hosted by the melifluous Malcolm Love (pictured left) and his sidekick Andrew Glester (out of view).
Spotify playlist - Furry Logic: Electricity & Magnetism
It's time for the penultimate Spotify playlist featuring - or linked to - animals in my and Liz Kalaugher's new book Furry Logic: the Physics of Animal Life. Published by Bloomsbury, the book's now available to buy in the UK and is due to come out on 31 January 2017 in the US.
Spotify playlist - Furry Logic: Sound
I've now created the next Spotify playlist featuring animals covered in my and Liz Kalaugher's new popular-science book Furry Logic: The Physics of Animal Life, published by Bloomsbury. This playlist's all about the animals covered in our chapter on sound.
Furry Logic: a poem
With the publication of Furry Logic just days away - Thursday 6 October 2016 to be precise - my co-author Liz Kalaugher and I have been the lucky recipients of several advance copies of our book sent to us by the lovely people at Bloomsbury in central London.
Spotify playlist - Furry Logic: Fluids
Over the weekend, while enjoying Birmingham City satisfyingly beat Blackburn Rovers 1-0 to go sixth in the Championship, I created the next Spotify playlist featuring animals covered in my and Liz Kalaugher's new popular-science book Furry Logic: The Physics of Animal Life, published by Bloomsbury.
